Signal 99 has emerged from New Mexico as the hot new influential metal sound in the southwest with the release of their new CD, “The Gospel”. Nominated for two categories “Best Music Video” and “Best Debut Artist” for the 2011 Native American Music Awards. Also this year’s winner of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Band’s to play the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival in Albuquerque, NM. Signal 99 was recently featured as part of FUSE MUSIC TV’s “Slave To The Metal” tour they took the night with solid fan support. They returned to the road in March 2011 for a featured SXSW MusicGorilla Showcase appearance in support of their new CD “The Gospel” and the must see controversial new video for the anti-hate rock anthem, ”Banner Of Corpses” on You Tube. The groundbreaking video delivers a message of racial tolerance while revealing a shocking link between the Jewish holocaust and the Native American genocide. Signal 99 has built a considerable radio and TV presence that continues to grow a large online footprint.
The Signal 99 intense sound is fronted by singer/songwriter/lead guitarist Chuck Haven and backed by a pounding rhythm duo of the striking sonic and visual presence of “Krave” on bass along with the power drumming of Mark Curley. Signal 99 can back it up on the road and have been hard at work touring in seven states, headlining and sharing the stage with top rock/metal acts, including Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine, Sevendust, Powerman 5000, Ill Nino, Nonpoint, Green Jelly, Kittie, Ekotren, DIECAST, Dine Alone, I.R.A.T.E., Nuumak, and Psychostick.
